qELWO Engineering successfully delivered a comprehensive modernization project aimed at adapting electrostatic precipitator systems at Elektrownia Rybnik to the requirements of the BAT conclusions. The project focused on upgrading flue gas handling and internal ESP components to achieve improved emission performance and regulatory compliance. The scope of work covered the modernization of multiple electrostatic precipitators, including ESP units K5, K6, K7, and K8. Key activities involved the replacement of flue gas ducts, modernization of exhaust gas distribution elements, and upgrades of internal ESP equipment to ensure uniform gas flow and effective dust separation under updated operating conditions. The project was executed in several stages to align with plant operation schedules. ELWO was responsible for modernization works, equipment deliveries, on-site erection, and commissioning of each ESP unit. All installations were completed and commissioned according to the agreed milestones, ensuring continuity of plant operation throughout the implementation.Following successful commissioning and handover, the modernized ESP systems achieved compliance with BAT-related emission requirements and provided improved operational reliability. This reference demonstrates ELWO Engineering’s capability to manage large-scale, multi-unit modernization projects, delivering emission control upgrades in accordance with the latest environmental standards while operating within complex power plant environments.
